Shipping policy

Effective date: 24 September 2026

1. Delivery area

We deliver primarily within South Africa. International delivery is not available as a standard checkout option and must be quoted case by case. The quotation will be set at a level that allows us to recover the full cost of the shipment, including carrier, insurance, handling and administration costs. We do not subsidise international delivery.

2. International delivery terms: DAP and DDP

Unless the quotation expressly states otherwise, international orders are supplied Delivered at Place (DAP, Incoterms® 2020) to the named destination. Under DAP, we arrange and charge for transport to that destination, but the customer is the importer of record and is responsible for import clearance, customs duties, import VAT or similar taxes, brokerage, storage and other destination charges. These amounts are not included in our shipping charge and may be collected by the carrier or local authorities before delivery.

Delivered Duty Paid (DDP, Incoterms® 2020) will apply only where we expressly agree to it in writing before payment. A DDP quotation must include the estimated customs duties, import VAT, clearance and related destination costs in the total amount charged to the customer. We will not offer DDP unless the available carrier and customs arrangements allow us to recover those costs in full.

The applicable delivery term, named destination, quotation validity and included charges will be stated in the order confirmation or written quotation. If customs information supplied by the customer is incomplete or incorrect, any resulting additional cost may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.

3. Free standard shipping

Free standard shipping applies to South African orders with an order value of R2,000 or more after discounts and before any delivery charge. Orders below R2,000 show the applicable delivery charge at checkout. The checkout will show whether an order qualifies.

Free shipping applies to the standard South African delivery service shown at checkout. Any special handling or collection arrangement will be quoted and agreed before payment.

4. Processing and estimated delivery

We aim to process in-stock orders promptly. Product availability, supplier fulfilment, public holidays, address verification and courier capacity may affect dispatch and delivery. Any delivery date is an estimate unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

We will provide tracking information when available. If an item is sourced from a supplier or subject to a lead time, we will communicate the expected position before or after order confirmation as appropriate.

5. Address accuracy and delivery attempts

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and contact number. If a parcel is returned because the details were incorrect, access was unavailable, or reasonable delivery attempts failed, we may charge the reasonable cost of redelivery where permitted by law.

6. Delays, loss and damage

Contact info@flipphones.co.za if tracking has not progressed, the parcel appears lost, or the parcel arrives damaged. Retain the packaging and provide photographs where possible. We will investigate with the courier and provide any remedy required by applicable law.

7. Collection

Collection may be offered by prior arrangement. Wait for confirmation that the order is ready and bring the requested identification or collection authority.
