What is Flexiroam?

Flexiroam X is a microchip that attaches to your existing SIM card, so you don't ever have to find yourself hunting around for data solutions on your next trip.

Flexiroam tries to make your data roaming experience as convient as possible by providing a simple app that makes it easy for your to monitor your data usage.

All you'll need to begin is a starter pack. The prices for data can all be found in the Flexiroam X app that you can download from either the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android), but be sure to purchase your starter pack to experience the full benefits.

Pricing of data is either Global Data or Local Data, that you can find in the mobile app.

The difference between the plans would be as follows

You can buy data that can last to up to a year (360 days).
You can use the data you buy in any of the 100+ countries supported by Flexiroam
You can make outgoing calls with your global data

DISADVANTAGES

Data that you buy starts from the date of purchase
It is generally pricer than local data due to having more country support

What's the difference between the eSIM, Microchip and SIM Card?

eSIM

The Flexiroam eSIM allows iPhone XS/XS Max/XR/11/11 Pro/11 Pro Max users to have a dual sim solution without losing the ability of being able to receive phone calls and SMSs on your phone. So no more switching out SIM cards, just scan a code and switch between your local data line and Flexiroam X data line right from your phone settings.

Microchip

The Flexiroam X microchip which converts your SIM card into double SIM which you can switch between Flexiroam X and your local SIM card. To use it, attach it onto your existing SIM card and activate it through the Flexiroam X App.

Then, switch between Flexiroam X network and your home network to enjoy roaming in over 100 countries.

This solution works for both iPhone and Android phones.

SIM Card

The Flexiroam X SIM Card allows you to use a normal separate SIM Card in your phone, this is convenient if you have a dual SIM phone in which you want to use your home SIM card (Vodacom/MTN/Cell C/Telkom Mobile) with Flexiroam X. No need to switch with the app, and still get the best data roaming experience.

Then, switch between Flexiroam X network and your home network to enjoy roaming in over 100 countries.
